Renewal and the New School Spirit

○ Founded the Bosung College Foundation with the public endowment to conform with the requirement imposed by the Japanese colonial government. ○ Created the sense of community by establishing school song and slogan. ○ Prepared the firm foundation for academic research by hiring faculties and improving academic programs ○ Students and alumni led the June 10 (1926) Independence Demonstration and Campaign and Gwangju Student Movement.

Kim Seong-su and Bosung College

Nation’s Korea University / Scientific Korea University / World’s Korea University

Techno Complex represents a realization of the industry-university joint-research for the first time in Korea Built inside the Science Campus the Seoul Division of the Institute of Basic Science, the driving force for Korean basic science, Korea University’s College of Life Science was designated as a national policy institution. KU introduced lectures taught in English as it opened the International Studies Hall with the state-of-art language training and research facilities. It also established the Graduate School for International Studies to educate regional leaders to enhance the international competitiveness amid globalization.
