Traditional Costumes of International Students Magnificently Decorate the Campus
KU held the International Student Festival (ISF), celebrating its 20th anniversary
The participants included 1,500 students from 19 countries and regions

KU held the 2023 International Student Festival (ISF) for the spring semester at Minju Plaza, Anam Campus, on May 11 (Thursday).

The festival was held to introduce the culture, food, travel and study opportunities of international students’ own countries and regions and promote an understanding of and communication between different cultures. To provide a platform for cultural exchange, booths were built for 19 countries and regions, including Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic), Asia (Korea, Japan, India), the Americas (USA, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Chile) and Oceania (Australia, New Zealand).

The KU’s ISF, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is held mainly by Korea University Buddy Assistants (KUBA). About 1,500 international students set up booths for their own countries and regions to provide information about the culture, food, travel and study opportunities of their countries, deepening understanding of students from different countries. The festival also featured both a fashion show where the international students exhibited their traditional costumes and a talent show where they showed off their wide-ranging talents.
