Prof. Wonjun Lee receives IEEE best paper award
Multisource wireless energy harvesting-based MAC protocol gets international recognition

Wonjun Lee, a professor in the Graduate School of Information Security at Korea University, received the Chester-Sall Memorial Award at the IEEE Conference in Las Vegas on January 8.

Prof. Lee and his team, comprised of Chenglong Shao, Heejun Roh and Taekeyung Kim of Korea University’s Network Research Lab, succeeded in the development of multisource wireless energy harvesting-based MAC for rechargeable sensors. This study was supported by the Samsung Research Funding & Incubation Center for Future Technology.

Professor Lee said, “I would like to give credit to my fellow researchers, who devoted the past several years to a field that is relatively new in Korea. We will do our best in developing network communications technology and continue to impress the world.”
