The medical benefit system has been implemented since 1986 and applies to students who have paid their medical benefit fee for the purpose of reducing the burden of medical expenses caused by unexpected illness or injuries during the school term.
Students during their enrollment can receive some amount of their share of the medical costs after health insurance as reimbursements through medical benefits. However, uninsured and fully self-paid procedures (such as third party Specialized General Hospital fees) are exempt from medical benefits.
Visit the medical benefit office at the humanities and social sciences health center within six months of the treatment to fill out the deductible application form. (Applies until the day of graduation or completion)

International students who are not covered by the national health care insurance, but subject to medical benefits (paid the medical benefit fee) must visit the medical benefit office in advance to obtain the "Medical Benefit Eligibility Verification" document to receive medical benefits and only receive medical attention from designated hospitals/clinics. The students above receive similar coverage as those who are covered by the national health care insurance when paying their medical fees, but do not receive the reimbursement benefits like those who are coved by national health care insurance.
