There’s a club that pulls off in just two months what even the most renowned production companies take months to achieve: creating a musical. Every school break, Soulmate, Korea University’s 100% original musical club, crafts everything from scripts and music to stage design and brings their creations to life. Under the spirited slogan, “The best kind of hard work is the kind you love!” the club members pour their passion for musicals and creativity into every performance.

““My mom loved musicals, so we used to watch them often. I loved being in the audience, but creating a musical is an entirely different experience. I’m currently directing and overseeing the scriptwriting and rehearsals of a musical. The process of sharing our raw, authentic selves and truly becoming ‘soulmates’ is incredibly special.””

Collaborating with fellow company members throughout this process is incredibly fulfilling.””

I’m currently the only male actor in the acting team. Since every performance is a premiere, it’s challenging to memorize an entirely new script each time. But feeling the audience’s warm reactions makes it all worth it.””
