Prof. Tae Yeon Seong named fellow of Materials Research Society

Tae Yeon Seong, a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering under the College of Engineering, was appointed as a fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS).
MRS is a leading organization, comprised of more than 13,000 researchers from 80 countries, in various materials-related fields such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
Professor Seong was named as an MRS fellow for 2018 based on his achievements in compound semiconductor materials, device processes, and optoelectronics.
As the author of 430 SCI papers and the inventor of 230 patents at home and abroad, Professor Seong was also named as a fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP) in 2008, the Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) in 2013, and the Electrochemical Society (ECS) in 2017.
