Prof. Hyun Jun Kim honored by Marquis Who’s Who and a 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award
Acclaimed research on influence of climate change and natural environment on forestry

Hyun Jun Kim, a research professor in the BK21 Plus Eco-Leader Education Center of Korea University, was listed in Marquis Who's Who and, at the same time, named as a recipient of the 2018 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
Professor Kim, an expert in forestry management, has extensive experience and publications in forest growth and measurement. He has studied the effects of climate change and various environmental phenomena on specific trees. Currently, he is conducting research on the prediction of forestry changes based on an analysis of factors influencing plant growth and forest ecology, namely climate and soil. In a recent project on carbon dioxide storage, he examined the effects of soil carbon dioxide concentration on tree growth.
Prof. Kim received the award in recognition of his numerous publications and presentations both domestically and internationally.
